Mr and Mrs McCabe's wedding was an exciting and emotional one!

It was a surprise wedding during their Bon Voyage party as they were saying goodbye to their loved ones uproot to Australia. In fact they should be there now so if you're reading this...hello from across the pond! All the attendees were ready to party when I arrived and had no idea when celebrant announced that the couple were saying 'I do' as well as farewell.

Of course as the photographer I was in on it from the beginning and there was a lot to plan beforehand! We've been planning on how to cover it up and how the couple would slip away during the announcement. I also knew that despite the venue being a such a pretty one, there wouldn't be a lot of options for natural light and locations. This is the first time I used flash for the entirety of photographing a wedding - even though I was nervous in trying something new I'm thrilled with the results.

The photos did turn out to be on the more posed and classy style, giving it a bit of a paparazzi look to it. I must admit...I'm obsessed!! Especially with the photos in the doorway, oh my gosh I've been wanting to try it for ages and now I can get a bit more creative now that it's getting dark outside earlier.

I know that when I say my goodbyes to the couple I'll likely not see them again, this time it was even more wild that they wouldn't even be in the same continent 48 hours later!!

So, Siobhan and Jack (and the boys), it was an honour to capture your truly special day. It was also an honour to do the Groom's corsage - I'm usually photographing that moment rather doing it myself.

As of posting, 9th Oct, the completed album is available to view on my website at Info -> Current Galleries. Below are a few of my faves!
