Forever K & A ❤︎
Katie and Adam tied the knot on Wednesday and I was honoured to be their photographer for the ceremony! They were such a joy to work with and not a dry eye at Preston Registry office...goodness me this is the most teary I've ever been whilst photographing a wedding. I'm completely overjoyed for them!
Preston Registry Office was a lovely venue, especially this time of year! It was a bit nippy at first but in the sun the lovely couple had the perfect autumn backdrop for their photos. They actually had a request for me to send 1 or 2 photos to them so they could announce their marriage online...and I got so carried away with editing I ended up doing the sneak peaks the same day, which is something I never usually do.
I must admit, when I've received enquiries for ceremonies couples have told me that they are conscious about not having enough time. Let me tell say - you WILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME! Especially if you're getting married married at a Registry Office. For me, my ceremony packages are for up to 2.5 hours and I usually arrive 30 mins before to capture photos of the groom, the guests and the bride arriving. For Katie and Adam's wedding I did exactly that, then after the ceremony we did confetti and walked around the corner to the much prettier side of the building. After that we stayed there for the rest of time for a group photo, family photos and a decent chunk of time for couple photos.
With how fast everything turned out we actually had a good amount of time focusing on capturing the photos that truly last a lifetime: the ones couples have printed for their homes, the ones they share on social media, the ones they will look on for years to come. It's also the perfect way to capture them, rather than a pose. Instead of me saying 'do this pose', it's always the smiling and laughing before or after which really make photos extra special. I don't have time to do that with every couple, but if there is enough time to do that without pressure I will do it. I'm so glad I could do that with Katie and Adam.
Mr and Mrs Pierrie, thank you so much again for having me, it's been a pleasure to have been your photographer. Congratulations again to you both.
